Natural Materials

Why do I use natural materials in Bombora’s packaging?

The idea is that when creating an item, we need to consider the entire lifecycle. The ideal is that everything that passes is reabsorbed back in to the ecosystem.

The starting point is to consider what will happen to products once they reach the end of their lifecycle.

How long will they be used? Can they be reused? Can it be repurposed? Once its purpose has ended, will it degrade easily?

Using natural and recyclable materials seem to me to offer a simple and effective step in the right direction. Natural materials can nearly always be repurposed much more easily and effectively than products which are made up of complex materials. Natural materials are also far more likely to be biodegradable than the synthetic option.

Everything is a resource, nothing is waste.

This is not a revolutionary mentality; neither is it a solution. I believe it is just a very small yet necessary step with regards to dealing with the huge problem of plastic waste.
